Question:Is there pedal assist and if so can I turn it off and on?
Answer:The pedal does not activate the motor that powers you forward. Only the crank throttle will activate the motor. So you can pedal as a regular bike and crank the throttle to assist you with more power than peddling alone. The power can be turned on and off with a button at your right hand.
